Dakar seawater desalination plant
With a production capacity of 50,000 m²/day, expandable to 100,000 m³/day, the seawater desalination plant in the Mamelles district will contribute to the diversification of the capital's water supply, by covering the needs of 1,000,000 inhabitants
The project is financed by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and divided into two components:
- the design and construction of the seawater desalination plant including the seawater desalination plant as well as the associated works (seawater intake and brine discharge systems, seawater intake pumping station, seawater transmission and brine discharge pipelines at Les Mamelles),
- the rehabilitation of 316 kilometres of the water distribution network in the zone of influence of the plant.
In addition to studying the master plan, our consulting engineering office was chosen for missions relating to design, assistance with tendering, construction control and supervision, facilitation of implementation of the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) and the Environmental Monitoring Plan, as well as the development of monitoring capacities for plant maintenance and operation during the warranty period.
