Modernization of the railway line sections Mangualde - Guarda and Guarda - Vilar Formoso, on the Spanish border

In addition to renovating 124 km of tracks, the project included:

  • the construction of engineering structures, including 9 special structures, 29 overpasses and 7 underpasses,
  • the rehabilitation of 27 trains stations, including 11 main and 16 secondary stations.
