The first Paediatric Oncology and Radiotherapy Hospital in Romania, a project TPF can be proud of!
Currently traveling in Romania, TPF’s CEO, Thomas Spitaels, along with Marian Constantinescu, CEO of TPF Inginerie, visited the brand-new Marie Curie Children’s hospital in Bucharest. This state-of-the-art facility, dedicated to cancer and severe illnesses, was made possible thanks to the generous support of more than 350,000 donors and 7,000 companies. Spanning 12,000 square meters across nine levels, it offers more than 150 beds.
The challenge lied not only in building a cutting-edge medical centre with modern operating theatres, MRI and CT Scan areas, intensive care units, and the country’s first paediatric radiotherapy department. This enriching and emotional visit highlighted also the importance of offering family-friendly amenities and a welcoming infrastructure, including playrooms and a cinema, where everything is design to improve the everyday well-being of young patients
As a leader in the healthcare sector, TPF played a crucial role in the construction of this remarkable hospital, providing project management and supervision services. This included ensuring that the project adhered to high standards in medical infrastructure.
During his visit to Bucharest, Thomas Spitaels also had the opportunity to meet with the teams from TPF Inginerie to discuss the commercial strategy, the outlook for 2030, and technological innovations, particularly in relation to sustainable engineering and digital transformation.
